Annual National Poetry Month Celebration

To commemorate National Poetry Month, the New Brunswick Free Public Library compiled its Annual Poetry Month Celebration Anthology, sponsored by the Raritan Valley Federation of Libraries, in April 2025. The Poetry Anthology is open to all poets – from novice to previously published, and from New Jersey or across the globe. The deadline for submissions was extended from Friday, March 21, to March 28, 2025.

All poets who submitted to the anthology were invited to read their published poems at the virtual Poetry Reading on Monday, April 28 at 7 p.m. Guests were invited to attend this event, which was free and open to the public to listen to the reading. {*The New Brunswick Free Public Library has been celebrating National Poetry Month since 1998. The first year had a reading but no anthology, and we were unable to have either an anthology or a reading in 2020. 2024 was the 26th year but has the 24th anthology.}
